What's Included?
Nordic Ski Rentals include skis, boots and poles. Rentals can be picked up in store, and returned the following day.
Where Do I Go?
The Candle Creek Trail Network offers 28km of excellent groomed ski trails. Classic and skate skiing are both possible, with trails suitable for skiers of all abilities!
Alternatively, for those seeking a more adventurous option, the Majerus Farm Trail to King Hut is a scenic nordic touring trail. Please note this trail is no longer groomed.
Classic vs Skate Skiing?
Classic skiing is performed in a traditional, straight-line motion. Skis have a grip zone underfoot allowing skiers to propel themselves forward in a stride resembling a natural walking stride. Classic skis are strongly recommended for beginners.
Skate skiing is a higher intensity style of skiing that requires more power, coordination and cardio. Skate skiing strides resemble an ice skating motion, and the skis do not provide traction, so the skier must maintain their forward momentum.
