Clearwater & District Minor Hockey
Clearwater & District Minor Hockey Association is a cornerstone of Clearwater's sports community, giving local youth the opportunity to learn, play, and grow through hockey.
Founded in 1974, Clearwater Minor Hockey has a long history of bringing young players together on the ice. The association is supported by dedicated parents, volunteers, coaches, officials, and community members who help provide a positive environment where players can develop their hockey skills while building friendships, teamwork, confidence, and lifelong memories.
For many Clearwater families, minor hockey is about more than what happens during a game. It is an opportunity for kids to be active, learn how to work as part of a team, make new friends, and become part of the local community. New in 2025 Clearwater Minor Hockey introduced the Hometown Hockey program to introduce new players to the game of hockey without the full time commitment of joining a team for the season.
The association also hosts a pre-season hockey school with coach Mike Brown, as well as a number of tournaments throughout the season, bringing visiting teams and families to Clearwater and driving Clearwater's winter tourism.
